The elders told us a story about the fact that this river was a natural shelter, for several people and civilizations, that passed by throughout the centuries.
Where can I launch my stand up paddle?
What will I see and find on the river?
It depends on where you are launching your stand up paddle.
If you go to the Portimão side to start, you’ll mainly see the city from the river point of view.
If you choose to go to Lagoa, you’ll see old canned food factories, lots of birds, oysters and fish all around and an incredible beauty.
Where can I park my car there?
Both places that we suggest have car parking spots.

You can rent one of our stand up paddle kits, take it there and set all the gear on the spot.
Are there rules I have to follow, such as laws?
No. Be aware that after the sunset and before the sunrise, you should not be in the water for safety reasons.
Especially during the summer, when our waters become very crowded, you need to keep an eye on boats, jet skies and other boards and kayaks.
Do I need to wear a life jacket (vest)?
No. You are free to choose whether you want to use a life jacket or not.
All our rentals include a life jacket per user. It is not mandatory to wear it, but still, we will give you life jackets.
It’s up to you to use it or not.
Can I fish on the stand up paddle?
No. Our stand up paddles are only recreational.
Be aware that authorities do run surveillance and on sea inspections.
If you are fishing with an unregistered vessel, you will get fined and all the gear and paraphernalia will be confiscated.
So, if you are looking for some fishing experience, do not book with us.

2 ways. all day rental or half day rental. we deliver and collect the gear anywhere within Portimão.
we work from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. all day rentals are 12 hours long and half day rentals 6 hours.
yes. in order to give you the gear, we will ask you to sign a rental document.
everywhere within Portimão, with the exception of the beaches. we deliver at the nearest point.
yes. for each SUP kit, we will ask for a 25€ deposit, that will be refunded upon collection.
